About my
Trisomy-X-syndrome
(also called as: Triple-X-syndrome)
- In May 2010, when I was 39 years old, the 'Trisomy-X-syndrome' was found accidentally
- The Trisomy X syndrome means: having 3 X-chromosomes in stead of the "normal" 2 X-chromosomes, as a woman
- I am hypersensitive to stress, I experience an event intensely and often need a lot of time to process an experience
- I often suffer from pain and stiffness in my joints, all over my body
- As a child, I already had bad teeth, and still I have to take very good care of my teeth
- I have learned to cope with some of the symptoms, and am still learning, every day, both about myself and about the Trisomy X syndrome
- Trisomy-X-syndrome causes both physical and mental complaints
- I am hypersensitive / allergic to dust, perfume, chemical additives, nuts, trees, grasses, latex, chromium, nickel and histamine
- I am often insecure, anxious (from no apparent reason) and can suddenly lose track
- From the age of 13 until 45, I suffered a lot from my menstrual period (with stomach pain, cramps and a lot of blood loss) and nowadays from hormonal complaints (including headaches)
- I have written personal books about the Trisomy-X-syndrome, for children and (young) adults
